The Coalition for Good Governance and Rule of Law (CGGRL) has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) under Sir Joseph Ari for entrenching transparency and accountability in operations. 
The group, at a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja, refuted the allegations of nepotism by the Muslims Rights Concern (MURIC) against the Executive Secretary, describing it as unsubstantiated and lacking in merit. 
In his address, National President /Convener, Comrade Isaac Ikpa, said the Muslim group, in its typical manner, is out to cause an unnecessary distraction in the operations of the agency in an attempt to malign Sari’s character.  ....

ITF replies MURIC, says DG not nepotic

The Industrial Training Fund, ITF has cautioned the leadership of the Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC to desist from whipping negative sentiments against the ITF through lies as the leadership of the ITF follows due processes in issues concerning organization.
It would be recalled that MURIC has accused the Director-General of ITF, Sir Joseph Ari of nepotism in an article, calling for the investigation of what it terms “mother of all nepotism in ITF.”
Reacting to the allegation, the ITF in a statement by its Director, Public Affairs Department, Suleyol Chagu said it was imperative a response be given to educate MURIC and correct the wrong impressions MURIC is trying to create in the public space. ....

NDA, ITF Collaborate on Staff Capacity Devt

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna for the capacity development of the NDA staff.
Speaking during the signing ceremony at the ITF Headquarters, the Director-General of the ITF, Joseph Ari, said that the collaboration, which is subject to review and renewal, would afford the Academy the benefit of the Fund’s expertise, experience and expansive network just as the Fund would benefit from the enormous intellectual resources available at the Academy.
He added that the MOU, which followed exhaustive discussions between the two organisations, is intended to amongst other things, facilitate the exchange of faculty members for short periods for a greater understanding of different teaching and learning styles within the two organisations; promote research collaboration and the application of applied research in the areas of mutual interest; identify and ....

Small businesses are engines of growth of any economy

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that small businesses are the engines of growth of any economy, especially in the areas of wealth creation and employment opportunities.
Prof. Osinbajo also said that in partnership with the private sector, the Federal Government would continue to support innovation and interventions to boost the growth of small businesses across the country.
This he said would improve the economy and create more employment opportunities for Nigerians.
Speaking on Monday in Abuja at the first meeting of MSMEs stakeholders for the year 2021, Osinbajo urged stakeholders in the public and private sectors at the virtual meeting to be innovative in the interventions planned for small businesses across the country, to consolidate on the gains recorded in the MSMEs space in the past few years. ....
