Bayonne residents heeded the call for the city’s annual Earth Day Cleanup. While not on Earth Day itself, the cleanup honors the day as teams have been cleaning sections of the city since 2017.
“So many great teams got together today to help clean our beautiful city!,” Mayor James Davis said. “Thank you to everyone who worked so hard today for our annual Earth Day celebration!”
Last year, the city held a socially distant at-home cleanup due to the stay-at-home order. Residents cleaned garbage and debris around their homes, such as used masks and gloves that continue to litter streets and sidewalks. On April 24 this year, the city shifted back to its traditional format.
