Sylvia McDaniel Brooks Sylvia McDaniel Brooks, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at her home after an extended illness.
Sylvia was born in Chattanooga and graduated from Lakeview High School in Ringgold, Ga. Sylvia graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and two Masters degrees in Reading and Elementary Education, all from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She spent her career and retired as a teacher from Boynton Elementary School in Ringgold, Ga.
Sylvia was active in the Chattanooga Geology Club and the Photographic Society of Chattanooga. She will be remembered most for her love of dancing and her beautiful smile.
