Several men who had been involved in an earlier dispute began shooting at each other as they drove away from the dispute at about 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne told the Ithaca Voice. Tompkins County authorities have identified an Elmira man as the person killed early Saturday morning in a high-speed crash in the Town of Lansing that reportedly involved gunfire between two vehicles in the lead up to the accident. Meanwhile, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 26-year-old Lansing man with attempted murder in connection with the crash, which also injured four. According to the sheriff’s department, Sha-Heem Harris, 21, a passenger in a black, 2006 Hyundai Sonata, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 1:50 a.m. accident on Auburn Road.
