Brisbane roads were flooded on Tuesday as Queensland’s south-eastern corner recorded widespread rainfall in excess of 50 millimetres, which included a cancelled severe storm alert earlier in the day.
The large system formed north of Bribie Island about 8.30am and brought the wet weather, dumping 65 millimetres at Banksia Beach on Bribie Island in an hour and 53 millimetres in an hour at Kippa Ring, north of Brisbane.

EIGHT young kids crash two stolen cars at an intersection

Eight youths have crashed two stolen cars at an intersection before getting out and sprinting towards a getaway vehicle.
Dashcam footage shared online shows a Land Rover colliding into the back of a black BMW in Chermside, in Brisbane s north, at 7.43am on Tuesday.
The BMW rolled into the intersection as eight kids fled from the two cars and dashed down Gympie Road before jumping into a stolen white Toyota Camry.
