81.1177.066– Johnny Gaudet, a Métis employee, the Hudson’s Bay Company’s first Peace River factor, succeeded by H.A. George in 1904. Bad feeling between the two, settled with fists. After which both went into their respective businesses to the benefit their community. They even shared positions on the school board executive. Gaudet went on to become a magistrate and cross professional paths with people, such as George Yeoman, a.k.a. Baldy Red, on an occasion or two.
