A drug consumption study suggests that illicit drug use isn t posing a serious concern among 15 and 16 year olds

Cannabis use among 15-16 year olds stands lower than the European average, while males and emerging adults are more likely to hold liberal attitudes towards the substance. 
This was concluded by the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta in a report on substance use among adolescente age groups. 
The study found that use of illicit drugs other than cannabis is very low among the school-age population, while alcohol use has become highly normalised, especially among university students.  ....

Cannabis use among teens lower than EU average, study finds


Cannnabis use among 15- and 16-year-olds in Malta is lower than the European average, even though a higher-than-average share say it is easy to obtain, a recent study has indicated. 
This data emerged from a study conducted by the Faculty of Social Wellbeing within the University of Malta, and puts together the latest research covering alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs and other prescription drugs, along with the perception of young people towards substance use. 
The study was commissioned by the Save a Life Foundation, which was established by Nationalist Party MP Claudio Grech. 
Titled ‘Substance use in adolescents and emerging adulthood’, the study found that 16 per cent of youths aged 15-16 in Malta use cannabis - a figure four percentage points lower than the EU average. ....

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than one in 10 Americans live with diabetes. That’s more than 34 million people. Every day, hundreds of diabetics have no choice but to have part of a leg or foot amputated.
The good news is that The Save A Leg, Save A Life Foundation in Ponte Vedra is working hard to bring those numbers down and they just got a big donation. Next Science, a medical tech company based in Jacksonville, has just given the nonprofit a $300,000 product donation that’s really going to help. ....

Good News: WJCT s sweater drive helps those in need stay warm
Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive. 
Suddath, VyStar Credit Union and Tom Bush Family of Dealerships also participated in the drive, which ran through Nov. 30.
Since its local launch in 2002, the drive has collected more than a quarter-million articles of clothing and necessities for First Coast residents. WJCT also distributed backpacks with school supplies, books, personal hygiene products, a blanket, Daniel Tiger socks and a mask to children in need.
