Avesoro Holdings is the parent company of Bea Mountain and MNG Gold Avesoro Holdings, which is one of the major mining concessionaires in Liberia through its subsidiaries Bea Mountain Mining Corporation and MNG Gold Liberia Inc., has condemned in strongest terms what it terms as ‘unethical and malicious’ article published against it on March 1, 2021 in the Independent Probe Newspaper titled “Massive Turkish Onslaught on Liberia’s Gold Industry Imminent Mineral Depletion Looms”. According to the company, the article makes a wide range of allegations against it and individuals without respect for truth and accuracy as required by the basic acceptable standard and ethics of good Journalism, but the publisher of the Independent Probe, Chester Smith, said his institution did not commit any ethical transgression but reported the facts that took them weeks to pursue with the company. ....

03 February 2021 Tip-ex Scottish Fire and Rescue has invested in four Scania P410 6x4s with remote-control Hiab Multilift hook-lifts. Commissioned by Emergency One, the national supplier of bespoke emergency vehicles and equipment, the Scanias will be utilized for underground rescue assignments and major incidents, allowing the emergency services to deliver incident welfare units directly to scenes where support is needed. “Scottish Fire and Rescue approached us to design and deliver four new vehicles with hook-lift equipment to increase welfare capability during rescue missions, as part of a tender process,” explains Chester Smith, director for Emergency One. “Hiab’s Multilifts are incredibly reliable and provide excellent precision for offloading the team’s dedicated welfare pods. They are operated using remote control, which gives the crew greater flexibility to offload the welfare units in the right place with an unobstructed view.” ....
03 February 2021 Product Aberdeenshire-based Urquhart Joinery Services has added a new Atego 1321L to its eight-strong all-Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle fleet. The 211hp 13.5-tonner, which features a ClassicSpace S-cab and, replaces a seven-year-old 12-tonne Atego. Together with seven Mercedes vans, it will be used to distribute the company’s timber products as far north as the Shetland Islands, and south to Scotland’s central belt. Commenting on the truck, which was supplied by BLS Truck & Van on a seven-year Mercedes-Benz Complete Service Contract, proprietor David Urquhart, said: “Our previous Atego has proved to be impressively rugged and reliable. When we stood it down it had more than 300,000km on the clock, but still looked smart and had never let us down. We’ve tried other makes of truck in the past, but none came close in terms of quality.” ....
