Community leaders and officials, including Gov. Eric Holcomb, were on hand for the dedication of the tactical building at the Multi Agency Academic Cooperative in Valparaiso.
The three-hour class was meant to give women and girls the basics to confidently fight back if they were attacked with yelling to startle their attacker and draw the attention of others and a series of hits, punches and kicks to keep a criminal at bay.
