Steps stressed to stop dengue in Punjab

LAHORE: Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam has directed the officers concerned to intensify dengue prevention activities across the Punjab.
She appealed to the public to take special care of cleanliness and no garbage should be thrown in open places. Precautionary measures against dengue are very important. Citizens should be more responsible in preventing dengue during monsoon especially rainwater should not accumulate in residential areas, she said.
During the last 24 hours, one new confirmed case of dengue reported across the province. A total of two confirmed dengue patients are under treatment, one in Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi and one in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi, across the whole province. ....

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid announced here Friday complete reinvigoration of the Blood Transfusion Authority and Institute of Blood Transfusion Services. The minister announced that the administrative control of the blood banks shall be handed over to designated authorities in the respective teaching hospitals.
The minister chaired an important meeting at the Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department. Directive to intensify dengue prevention activities in Punjab

LAHORE: Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam has directed the department to intensify dengue prevention activities across the Punjab.
She said on Eidul Azha special cleanliness arrangements should be made. She appealed to people that no filth of sacrificed animals and garbage should be thrown in open places and monsoon rains have also started.
Precautionary measures against dengue are very important. Citizens should be more responsible for preventing dengue during monsoon. Rainwater should not accumulate in residential areas, she said.
During the last 24 hours no case of dengue was reported across the province. During this year total 58 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported from all across the province and out of all confirmed patients, 28 patients has been reported from Lahor ....

LAHORE: On special instructions for intensive vaccination drives, a huge rise is observed in vaccination ratio.
Celebrating dedicated week of awareness for vaccination and SOPs compliance, its positive trend, Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam said only vaccination is the real remedy against Covid and its new Delta Variant.
She said in recent 24 hours 352,832 people have been vaccinated in Punjab, which is the highest number of vaccinations in a single day so far, while 307,128 citizens were vaccinated on Friday.
During the last 24 hours 59,832 citizens were vaccinated in Lahore.
A total of 11,948,015 citizens have been vaccinated across Punjab. However, reviewing Covid-19 current stats, Sarah Aslam highlights elevation in corona cases due to Delta Variant, 415 cases are reported in 24 hours getting the tally to 349,890. 329,478 patients are fully recovered and active cases are 9,547 till da ....
