Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge s Hatch Act violation appears to be the first such violation in the Biden administration.
The Office of Special Counsel, an independent federal investigative agency, has concluded that Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge violated the Hatch Act earlier this year when she opined on the 2022 Ohio Senate election, according to a letter obtained by POLITICO.
In a March 18 White House press briefing, Fudge, a former Democratic congresswoman from Ohio, was asked whether she wanted to weigh in on who should succeed her in the district’s open congressional seat. “No,” she said, with a smile. HOBOKEN, NJ  – The crowd gathered on the eastern edge of Pier A Thursday had a beautiful sunny afternoon a stark contrast to the devastating wind, rain and storm surge that pushed through weak spots in Hoboken’s waterfront nearly eight-and-a-half years ago, inundating the Mile Square City with one of the most devastating and costly natural disasters this country has ever seen.
With former Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer opening the ceremony, Governor Phil Murphy and United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Marcia Fudge today officially “broke ground” on the Waterfront portion of Rebuild by Design’s Hudson River Project in Hoboken.
