Kelly Brunette (Photo provided) SARANAC LAKE Kelly Brunette, the Democratic nominee for the March 16 Saranac Lake village board special election, has worked for the village before and believes it is her time to serve as an elected official in the community she has made her home. She believes the current village board is “strong” but that she could add a family-first mindset. “I represent a different constituency in the village that isn’t shown on the village board right now,” Brunette said. Brunette attended Paul Smith’s College in the 1990s, moving up here from Oswego. She left to attend the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse and “bounced around” before moving into the Saranac Lake community in 2004.
