Wish You Were Gay, a single about falling for your straight friend, everyone in the queer community felt seen. Claud Posts New Track Guard Down Ahead Of Super Monster Release

Claud has unveiled a new single, Guard Down.
Following Cuff Your Jeans, the synth-pop track serves as the latest taster of the Brooklyn artist s imminent debut album, Super Monster , due out on Friday (February 12) through Saddest Factory, Phoebe Bridgers label imprint with Dead Oceans. Other previously released cuts off the 13-track record include Soft Spot and Gold.
Speaking about the new song, which was co-penned with Cameron Hale and Mary Weitz, Claud said:
I have the hardest time opening up and letting my guard down. When I wrote this song, I had just found out somebody I had feelings for started seeing someone else and my immediate emotional response was to convince myself I didn’t care, even though I really did. The verses and chorus sort of make fun of how I keep myself closed off, but my rap towards the end of the song is a super honest str ....

Claud sings about yearning in new single, 'Cuff Your Jeans'

Indie-pop singer Claud has released a new single, ‘Cuff Your Jeans’, in the lead-up to the release of their debut album, ‘Super Monster’.
The new track stands in contrast with Claud’s previous releases, featuring pitched-down vocals from the singer which contribute to a gloomy feel, particularly around the chorus. A music video has also arrived alongside the track, created by Jeremy Reynoso and Angela Ricciardi.

“I wrote it after having a fever dream about trying to get on a train to see my friend but missing it over and over and over because there was always some obstacle in my way. The dream left me in a cold sweat and extremely frustrated,” Claud said in a statement. ....

Claud has unveiled a new song, Cuff Your Jeans.
The indie-pop number serves as the third preview of the Brooklyn artist s forthcoming debut LP, Super Monster , due out on February 12 via Saddest Factory, Phoebe Bridgers label imprint with Dead Oceans. Claud said:
Cuff Your Jeans is a song about yearning. I wrote it after having a fever dream about trying to get on a train to see my friend but missing it over and over and over because there was always some obstacle in my way. The dream left me in a cold sweat and extremely frustrated. All elements of this song are a much needed form of rebellion against my redundant lifestyle, and my pitched down vocals in the verses - which appear in a few more places throughout Super Monster - are a way to further a more courageous and outspoken persona. ....
