Thomas More Names Lacrosse Head Coaches

Thomas More University announced its head coaches for the newly launched men s lacrosse program, and the women s lacrosse program.
Sean McGinnis will lead the men s Saints team while Pat Thatcher will coach the women s team.
McGinnis spent eight years as head coach at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, winning a state title in 2017. He is a graduate of Cleveland State University where he earned bachelor s and master s degrees.
During his time at Moeller, he helped grow the program from 55 players to 80 by the end of his tenure.
First of all, I would like to thank President (Joseph) Chillo and Athletic Director Terry Connor for this great opportunity to become the first men s lacrosse coach at Thomas More, said McGinnis. A former Moeller lacrosse player who graduated in 2019 suffered a severe head injury in an accidental fall Saturday night. He has gradually shown improvement with updates coming by way of the Moeller High School Facebook page.
Braedon Titus was an All-State defender for the Crusaders and Coach Sean McGinnis. Moeller was 15-7 and made it to the regional finals his senior year. Titus is a University of Cincinnati student. ....

South County Firefighters Foundation donates $14K to those in need

The South County Firefighters Foundation is brightening the holidays for those in need this season, making donations totaling more than $14,000 to local youth, families and organizations.
Firefighters visited College Place Elementary in Lynnwood Thursday, handing out $3,000 in gift cards to 15 families, along with toys for the children, said the Foundation’s Melissa Beard.
Justin Pickens, Sean McGinnis and Kyle Havens at the Edmonds Food Bank.
In addition, the foundation is donating $2,000 to each food bank in Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace, along with donations to Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, Cocoon House for young people facing homelessness, and the Safe Kids car seat program. ....
