The Toyota bZ4X Concept debuts in North America as the company shares its vision for a global series of battery-electric vehicles.
More information on the production model of the Toyota bZ4X will be shared later this year, with sales planning to begin in 2022.
“We are already global leaders in electrification, with the industry’s most popular and proven range of gasoline-electric hybrid models, plus plug-in hybrids and fuel cell electric vehicles,” noted Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc.
“With the Toyota bZ4X Concept, we’re gearing up to introduce North Americans to the first of a series of new models, all built around Toyota’s battery-electric technology.”
Based on the Corolla sedan, the all-new 2022 Corolla Cross makes its North American debut.
“The new Corolla Cross gives them even more Corolla choice, with a blend of compact form, impressive versatility, and all-wheel-drive that’s ready for year-round driving fun,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada.
Engine and system specs
Available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), the SUV maximizes the high-strength TNGA-C platform and a 169-horsepower 2.0-litre Dynamic Force Engine.
