The man arrested for the murder of Cape Town policeman Sergeant Malose Lebelo appeared in the Simon s Town Magistrate s Court.
Bazolele Hlekiso also faces a charge of illegal possession of a firearm.
Lebelo was shot dead and found outside a shop in Vrygrond near Muizenberg early on Sunday.

Further information on the fatal shooting was not made available. According to Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani, Lebelo was found lying in the street in front of a shop in Disa Street in Vrygrond.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a Cape Town policeman and is expected to appear in the Simon’s Town Magistrate’s Court on Friday 16 April.
The body of Sergeant Malose Percival Libelo, 38, was found lying in the street, in front of Basmillian shop in Disa Road, on 11 April. The sergeant was off duty at the time of his murder and was shot in the head.

CAPE TOWN - The man accused of murdering a Cape Town police officer will be appearing in court on Friday.
In a statement released on Thursday, Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) spokesperson Zinzi Hano said the 30-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday.
This comes after Sergeant Malose Percival Libelo, 38, attached to the Steenberg police station’s detective division, was gunned down on Sunday morning in front of a shop in Disa Street in Capricorn, Muizenberg.
He sustained gunshot wounds to his head and his official firearm was taken.
Libelo was off duty at the time of the incident.
