The accused have been identified as Kadeer Khan, 32, from Karnataka, Fayazulla Khan, 31, Vinay from Tamil Nadu, Parag Kumar, 39, from Uttar Pradesh, Shanawaz Ansari, 29, from Gujarat, Naseer Sheikh, 50, Salman Khan, 28, and Fakhruddin, 37, from Madhya Pradesh. Based on a tip-off, a team of police raided Konark Residency lodge on J.P. Street and caught Kadeer Khan. The police recovered 13 pistols and 52 rounds of live ammunition from him. Eight persons have been arrested and 681.8 kg of ganja seized from them. Based on a tip-off from the Bengaluru unit, a team of NCB officials intercepted three cars near a toll plaza in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, and seized the ganja consignment, concealed in compressed form, in 335 brick-like packets and wrapped with brown colour adhesive tapes. This is a common modus operandi of drug trafficking from the Andhra-Odisha border, the police said. The arrested persons are S. Pawar, V. Pawar, B. Ware, M. Dhotre, D. Deshmukh, R. Gunjal, A. Peshawar February 27, 2021 NOWSHERA: The police here on Friday claimed to have recovered looted money and arrested five members of a gang. Speaking at a press conference, District Police Officer (DPO) Najmul Hasnain said that the accused posing as officials of the Excise and Taxation Department had snatched over Rs10 million from the driver of a tobacco company on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in the limits of Nowshera district. He said that the arrested accused also include an official of Mardan Police. The DPO said that two accomplices of the accused had fled to Afghanistan while a search had been launched to apprehend another two fleeing accomplices of the accused. ....
