Ward Cove Market added a new feature this spring: âCindyâs Little Library,â a free book exchange cabinet perched atop the picnic table at the far end of the parking lot. The library is built to resemble a steep-roofed shingled house, painted green with a swing-open glass-fronted door upon which is printed âTake A Book - Return A Book.â Craig Carson, who co-owns the market as well as the neighboring buildings with his wife, Cindy, and his brother and sister-in-law, said that placing a tiny library at that location was his wifeâs idea. He described encountering two tiny libraries when he and his wife were visiting Ballard, Washington, and Cindy Carson had said, âHey, Ward Cove should have a little library.â ....

The allotments for Peguis and Fisher River were being driven out and the other two were shipped by plane the shipments were scheduled to depart yesterday. First Nations in Manitoba will receive 5,300 doses of the Moderna vaccine for immediate vaccination, according to a statement from Southern Chiefs’ Organization Grand Chief Jerry Daniels late Wednesday evening. Also as of yesterday, the Province of Manitoba committed an additional allocation of 5,300 doses that will roll out the week of Feb. 23. ....
