The team also rewrote the national 400 Thunder Top Fuel ET record and the track record. The impressive performance delivered a maiden national title and Winternationals win for the team. It expanded on an accomplishment list that already included track records at Sydney Dragway and the Perth Motorplex and event wins at Sydney, Perth and Willowbank. ....

Minister for Sport Geoff Lee said the new international standard surface forms part of the NSW Government’s $33 million upgrade of facilities at Sydney Motorsport Park. “The NSW Government is committed to providing high quality and safe motorsport facilities for the drag racing community,” Mr Lee said. “This upgrade replaces the previous 15 year-old surface and provides a world class surface for racers of all levels.” “These upgrades will deliver an outstanding event experience for motor racing competitors and fans alike.” ....

While there they went 8.088 sec at 168.72 mph and then 8.075 sec at 168.70 mph. The car is powered by a 2.0 L 20B three-rotor built by PAC Performance in Revesby, New South Wales, Australia. Power is sent to the slicks through a T400 two-speed automatic transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. Will not be long before Dom reaches the 7’s. ....
