The ad flaunts Havells’ ‘Smart Sense’ IOT technology that allows its fans to adjust speed according to the conditions of the room – like humidity, temperature, etc. It can also be controlled via voice and a mobile app.
But that’s only about the fan. In terms of consumption of fans in India, it is a well penetrated category with a penetration of 75-80 per cent. Further penetration is mainly driven by replacements. The market is valued at around Rs 8,000 crore and has been significantly affected by the COVID pandemic. Havells is the market leader in the premium segment and holds the second spot in the overall organised market, after Orient. ....

Many beneficiaries, mostly senior citizens, who took the vaccine on Wednesday said that the process was smooth.
Officials of multiple hospitals also said there were no issues with the CoWIN platform, where details of beneficiaries are entered and checked before vaccination, on Wednesday unlike the past two days.
A total of 25,054 beneficiaries took the COVID-19 vaccination in the city on Wednesday and there were four Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI), said a Delhi government spokesperson.
Of the total beneficiaries, 13,794 were people who are 60 years of age and above, 1,625 people were between 45 and 59 years of age. ....

Launches ‘made-in-India’ premium mixer grinder
Havells India aims to double its domestic appliances business in the next two years and is looking to strengthen its market share, especially in the food-preparation appliances category.
Besides deepening its presence in Indian households, it is also looking at launching new products in niche sub-segments, the company said.
In line with this strategy, the company is launching its new ‘Made-in-India’ premium mixer-grinder under the sub-brand Silencio with features such as low noise operation, digital display and pre-set options for grinding, blending and manual usage. It has also applied for six patents to bring in new technology-backed features such as screw-less jars, hands-free operation with lid-lock mechanism and air channelisation and exha ....

Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait’s insistence that the farmers’ Republic Day tractor rally will go till Akshardham Dham temple has sent the Delhi Police and Ghaziabad administration into a tizzy.
Police sources said on Monday afternoon that they were still trying to persuade farmers in Ghazipur to stick to the route that they had planned yesterday.
