Fresno State SAE, National Raisin Team Up to Donate $22,000 to Kids' Centers in Armenia

Fresno State’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity donated more than $22,000 to children’s centers in Armenia and Arstakh
FRESNO The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Fresno State and National Raisin teamed up to raise $22,785 for the Armenian Missionary Association of America. National Raisin matched $10,000 that the fraternity raised for the AMAA ‘Shogh’ Day Centers.
The centers, located in Yerevan, Gyumri, and Vanadzor in Armenia, and Shushi and Askeran in Artsakh, are educational after school programs serving nearly 290 children, from ages six to 12-years-old, from socially underserved families. The centers offer hot meals, educational support, summer camps, fine art classes, and more, all targeted at lifting families out of poverty. ....

President Foster and Mayor Steinmann want students to spread word, not virus

TCNJ President Kathryn Foster and Ewing Township Mayor Bert Steinmann recently visited several off-campus student residences to emphasize the shared commitment between the college and the township in keeping the community healthy.
The visits included handing out hand sanitizer, TCNJ masks, and other personal protective equipment as well as conversations with students about keeping themselves and their neighbors healthy.
TCNJ students Giovanni Magee and Casey Schulhafer visit with TCNJ President Foster and Ewing Mayor Steinmann.
“We are asking our students to spread the word, not spread the virus,” Foster said. “By visiting these students at their homes, we are reinforcing we are really in this together with our neighbors in trying to create healthy community norms. Lloyd Eugene (L.E.) Schnitzer, age 76, passed away at his home in Tucson, AZ, on February 4, 2021.
L.E. was born on November 16, 1944, in Cherokee, OK. He graduated from College High School in Bartlesville, OK, in 1963. He attended Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
His career endeavors included work at Winnipeg General Hospital, OU Medical Center, Beth Israel Hospital, and MIT. He was an instructor at the University of Colorado Medical Center and manager at Unirad Corporation in Denver prior to moving to Marshalltown in 1974, where he became the director of the newly-established Department of Ultrasound at MMSC. He spent 28 years at MMSC prior to moving to Arizona in 2002. He worked at Banner Del Webb Hospital until his retirement in late 2012. ....
