Ibero American films present at Latino Film Festival in US Ibero American films present at Latino Film Festival in US Washington, Apr 16 (Prensa Latina) Over 80 international films will be screened today at the 37th Chicago Latino Film Festival, whose virtual program is dedicated to moviegoers living in six States of that nation. The event, which includes online screenings through the chicagolatinofilmfestival.org/films website, includes 45 feature films and 36 short films from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the host country. First state Latino Film Festival set for June 18-20 Iowa’s first-ever Latino film festival will be held this summer. The Des Moines Latino Film Festival was planned for last year, but the pandemic forced a one-year delay. Through a partnership with the Chicago Latino Film Festival and other organizations, it will be free to attend in person or watch virtually. Jay Byers is the president and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “This inclusive event will help our region attract and retain diverse talent and attract more visitors,” Byers says. “It will also help us show the world that the DSM region is a welcoming place for all.” ....
