The Barbados Water Authority wishes to advise that repairs to the large-sized main in Fairview, Christ Church have been completed. Work which began this morning Monday, April 5 with the clearing of the very bushy area and identification of the precise location of the burst, concluded around 8:30 p.m. Having successfully completed the repairs, the Authority will now put water back into the distribution network via this main and monitor the situation closely. Residents of St. Philip and Christ Church districts affected by the rupture are asked to note that it may take some time for water levels to return to normal, as the system needs to recharge. ....

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to advise customers in St. Philip and Christ Church that today Monday, April 5 it is carrying out repairs to a ruptured 16-inch main in Fairview, Christ Church. While crews work to address the repair, residents in the following areas may suffer low pressure or water outages: Gemswick, Parish Land, Pilgrim Road, Coverley, Charnocks, Lowlands, Woodbourne, Packers, St. Patrick’s, Fairview, Walronds, Country View Estate, Water Street, Lodge Road, Kingsland and surrounding districts. Water tankers have been dispatched to assist persons in the affected areas in the interim. The Authority will provide updates on the progress of the repair. ( ....
