With the State government giving its green signal following the A.P. High Court’s intervention, the stage is set for the distribution of three variants of B. Anandaiah’s herbal preparation from Monday.
Mr. Anandaiah has made elaborate arrangements for procuring the ingredients through his network of volunteers.
The government, however, withheld permission for the eye drops, pending studies by experts on its efficacy.
‘Bhoomi puja’ was performed for the temporary sheds at Krishnapatnam on Saturday with the blessings of Sri Govindananda Saraswati Swami of Hampi, who wished speedy recovery for those seeking it.

Candidates win 142 out of 181 sarpanch seats in Nellore and 185 out of 208 seats in Prakasam
The YSR Congress Party continued its winning streak as the candidates supported by it bagged the sarpanch post in more than 80% of the panchayats in the six Assembly segments in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh that went to polls on Sunday.
While in Nellore, candidates backed by the ruling party won in 142 out of 181 seats in the fourth and last phase of local body elections, the candidates won the sarpanch post in 185 out of 208 villages that went to polls in Prakasam district on Sunday.

Members of farmers’ unions and opposition parties staged demonstrations in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on Saturday lending support to the farmers in the capital in the wake of violence that marred their protest on the Republic Day.
After paying floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 73rd death anniversary, farmers and social activists, led by All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee Prakasam district unit president Ch. Ranga Rao, vowed to continue the stir in a peaceful manner till the Centre repealed the three farm laws.
