We’d also wager that the vast majority of surfers are aware of how difficult it might be. That cross-shore sweep has turned even the best surfers back towards the sand to try again. Once you’re out there, there’s still that lingering possibility of getting stuck inside, which is… not fun, to say the least. You need to be a good paddler to surf Pipeline, and Nathan Florence surfs Pipeline a lot.
