Southeastern Missouri man faces multiple charges in Jan. 6 Capitol riot Bill Lukitsch, The Kansas City Star
Jul. 14 A southeastern Missouri man is facing four charges in federal court for his alleged participation in the Jan. 6 insurrection of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Joshua Dressel, 31, of Festus, is charged with unlawfully entering a restricted area, disorderly conduct, violent entry on the Capitol grounds and demonstration inside a Capitol building, according to the U.S. Attorney s Office for southeastern Missouri. He appeared in court for the first time Tuesday via teleconference.
All of the charges against Dressel are misdemeanors. He was not arrested prior to his appearance in court Tuesday and was scheduled to be processed after the hearing, a spokesman for the prosecutor s office said.
It's been more than a month since three people were killed after a crash involving a boat and a barge during the Thunder Over Louisville fireworks show, and officials are still investigating what happened. In an update Saturday, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department said the case is "open and considered an active investigation," which is why they aren't releasing the report at this time. The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Monday at 11 a.m.
Jeremy Antle, 38, of Guntown, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff s Office, possession of methamphetamine.
Joe Bean, 36, no address given, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff s Office, possession of a Schedule II drug.
Thomas Beaty, 23, of Blue Springs, , was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug.
Timothy Freeman, 57, no address given, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, felony fleeing.
Jamarcus Gary, 25, no address given, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, felony possession of marijuana, possession of a stolen firearm, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest.
