Last Saturday May 1, 2021 my husband Stephen and I watched a uniquely Canadian ceremony online, written by famed author Rudyard Kipling nearly one century ago, called the Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer.
Our 23-year-old son, Tyrone who turns 24 tomorrow had just completed his final assignment the previous day in electrical engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus, a laudable feat in itself made all the more impressive since he did so with no grade under an A! (If it sounds like I’ve still got my proud-mom pompoms lifted high, it’s because I do!) ....
