Chattanooga State’s Jenkins Selected For Maxine Smith Fellows Program

Quincy Jenkins, inaugural chief diversity officer and executive director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Chattanooga State Community College, has been selected to participate in the 2021-22 Class of the Maxine Smith Fellows program. Mr. Jenkins is is one of 13 faculty and staff members from the College System of Tennessee among the 21 from colleges and universities statewide. 
The Maxine Smith Fellows program provides professional development, training and advancement opportunities for participants from traditionally underrepresented groups at the College System of Tennessee, governed by the by the Tennessee Board of Regents, and the state’s locally governed public universities. ....

Edward Ellis, III began his work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga in 2014. Initially, Mr. Ellis served as a match support specialist, providing ongoing guidance and support to Littles, Parents/Guardians, and Volunteer Bigs on a regular basis. Match support specialists monitor mentoring interactions and offer insights and advice to ensure child safety, facilitate healthy relationship development and promote positive youth outcomes.
In October of 2020, Mr. Ellis was promoted to lead the agency in continued efforts towards DEI progress as the Diversity Partnerships Manager. BBBSGC is committed to being intentionally inclusive in who it serves, who it is, and what it represents to the community at large, said officials. The Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga announced Thursday that Matthew Brandon, vice president of PlayCore Surfacing Group, Kyle Eiselstein, partner at Miller Martin, and Quincy Jenkins, executive director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Chattanooga State Community College have been elected to the Club’s board of directors.
We are pleased to welcome Matt, Kyle and Quincy to the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga board at this critical stage of our evolution,” said LaTonya Lyons, board chair.
