The teenager trying to drive the bus away with his younger accomplice A QUICK-thinking mini cab driver has captured on video the moment two teenagers appeared to attempt to steal a bus yesterday morning. The youngsters - whose ages looked to be between 13 and 18 according to the driver - were seen in a 662 Keighley Shuttle bus with its engine running as it was being moved backwards and forwards. The Press s sister paper The Keighley News reports that Zahir Ghafoor, of Speedline Private Hire, based in Russell Street, Keighley, said he was working nights and heard the engine of the bus at 5am. ....
NIDDERDALE DalesBus 821 will return for the summer on Sunday, May 16 providing access to the Washburn Valley and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and making it possible for keen walkers to do sections of the Six Dales Way and Nidderdale Way. The service runs every Sunday and Bank Holiday until October 17, starting from Keighley Bus Station at 9.30am and runs via Bingley, Shipley and Guiseley to Otley at 10.20am before travelling though the Washburn Valley past Lindley, Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs to Blubberhouses. From there it climbs up past Thruscross reservoir to the top of Greenhow Hill before dropping down to the picturesque town of Pateley Bridge at 11.15am. The bus then winds past Gouthwaite Reservoir and through the small villages of Ramsgill and Lofthouse to its final destination Scar House Reservoir at 11.50am. ....
