Girl Scout troop shows support for hospital workers 12/29/20 9:15 AM Having to work on the days leading up to Christmas and on the holiday was tough for nurses and other staff at Schneck Medical Center. Not only did they spend time away from family, but some of them had to care for patients with COVID-19. To lift their spirits, Girl Scout Troop 135 in Seymour came up with a visual to thank them for the work they do. In an email to athletic directors on Thursday, MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl said his organization had been “pushing daily for updated information” from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s office and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on plans for school sports following the expiration of the current emergency orders on Dec. 20. He added the MHSAA apparently “will have information so decisions can be finalized and shared very soon.” ....
