These gardens of Wexford have a few things in common which inspire them to keep going, be creative and open their gates to the public. They are all in County Wexford, privately owned and managed and are self-funded. Together with garden centres and Government funded gardens they are members of the Wexford Garden Trail. This trail welcomes visitors and their members are more than happy to assist with any information visitors require to enjoy their visits to the gardens and garden centres of County Wexford. There really is something special and treasured about Irish gardens. They represent a natural environment of plants and trees taking in carbon and releasing oxygen into the air while their roots stabilize the soil and filter water. As trees reduce air pollution they help us to breathe better. Spending time within a natural setting often reduces our stress and improves our sleep. ....

With more than 40 episodes under their belts and some hundred listeners, the lockdown project for these young men has really grown legs since it was born in May of last year. The idea behind Paper Tuesdays originates from their school days at Gorey Community School, when Michael would distract himself with local newspapers and post them on his Snapchat. He admits he has matured since then, and this current affairs podcast has branched out to topics from sport to photography to tarot card reading, and everything in between. ....
It wasn’t the first day of the school year, but it felt like it as pupils’ reconnected with their friends and teachers, who stood in front of a class for the first time in more than two months. At the 430-pupil Mary Mother of Hope Junior National School in Castaheany, west Dublin, the rich diversity of its pupil population was evident in children bearing bunches of flowers, honouring the Eastern European custom of presenting a bouquet to teacher on the first day of the school year. If floral traditions relatively new to Irish education brought smiles, the familiar habit of parents lingering for a chat at the school gate was taboo – and it doesn’t appear to have been a problem. The message from everyone from Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn to school principals was for parents to ‘drop and dash’ or to ‘pick up and push on’. ....
