Recent warnings from the US Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) and the US Congress could translate into more aggressive scrutiny of trading plans adopted pursuant to Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 ( Exchange Act ).
In a speech delivered on June 7, 2021, SEC Chair Gary Gensler identified several cracks in Rule 10b5-1 trading plans that could allow for insider trading.

Nature and wildlife in Wales is undergoing a mass extinction event , environmental charities have said.
Ahead of next week s election, they have urged politicians to take action, with measures such as new, legally binding targets on biodiversity.
Campaigners want the issue to be given the same priority as plans to fight climate change.
They have also called for a national nature service, offering jobs to people on wildlife restoration schemes, and for 30% of land and sea to be actively managed for nature by 2030. ....

Staff at McDonald s Te Ngae took refuge in a safe room and called police after identifying a drive-through customer as potentially dangerous.
Restaurant owner Rob Parry said on Tuesday night a man came to the drive-through speaker and immediately aroused suspicion with the questions he was asking.
He asked are you here by yourself? which clearly freaked out the person taking the order who said no, there were five or six people on site, Parry said. ....
