Updated on December 31, 2020 at 6:16 am Coronado Lifeguards A juvenile white shark made contact with a swimmer Wednesday afternoon leading to a two-day closure of the city s public shoreline. The swimmer had his fin nipped by the shark, according to Coronado Lifeguard Captain Sean Carey. The swimmer was not injured, but his fin was left with teeth marks, Carey said. Lifeguards immediately cleared the beach and halted all water activity. Signs were posted along the sand notifying the public of the closure. Joe recently won $10,000 for the Wampler Foundation through the “Chipotle Royalty” contest on TikTok, and Steve’s favorite Chipotle order is now featured as an official menu item, The Wamp-urrito, on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com. Capt. Anthony âTonyâ Jaramillo entered the Navy in July 1984 and completed basic training in San Diego. Upon completion, he was designated an Airman and soon transferred to Naval Air Technical Training Center in Millington, Tennessee, where he completed Aviation Structural Mechanic âAâ school. Jaramilloâs highest enlisted rank was Petty Officer First Class and in 1993 he was selected to participate in the Enlisted Commissioning Program. His hard work and determination served him well on his way to being commissioned as a Navy officer in June of 1995.
