After a one-year absence due to COVID-19 restrictions, the three-day event runs Friday through Sunday at the Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting. “After two very successful years at the Streets of West Chester … we’re moving to VOA,’’ said Kerry Schall, festival liaison with ColdIron Event Rentals. “Everybody loves that park over there and it’s easy to get to. The Daily Telegram ADRIAN An ordinance that would let the Adrian City Commission determine where in the city food trucks can operate was adopted Tuesday Commission members voted 7-0 to adopt the ordinance at Tuesday’s special meeting. Along with allowing the commission to determine where food trucks also referred to as mobile food vendors can operate, it lets the commission set a fee schedule for permits. The commission s next regular meeting is Monday, June 7, and further discussion of the ordinance will continue then. Commissioners and Adrian Mayor Angie Sword Heath stated food truck owners in and around the area have expressed a general interest in being a part of several large-scale public events set to return downtown this summer such as the Artalicious Fine Arts Festival and the Blues ’N’ Brews music and food festival. ....

The Edwardsville Administrative and Community Service committee on Thursday voted 2-1 in favor of the permit, with Alderman Jack Burns dissenting. Erin Long and Joseph Mays, who live in Godfrey, would like to turn a home at 223 N. Kansas St., Edwardsville, into a place for short-term rentals, with guests staying between two and 90 days at a time. The homeowners would not be onsite during guests’ visits and they anticipate as many as seven people would occupy their house at any given time. Guests would also have access to the home’s two-car garage. ....
