One fake event is advertised as Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic 2021 scheduled for June 29, the commission warned in a Monday, May 10 Facebook post. There is also a fake event for a Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic drive-thru at 6 p.m. November 21. ....

The grant will provide funding to the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, a supporting organization of the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, for the redevelopment of the former 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts building at 630 W. Kearsley St. in Flint, according to a press release from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. ....
Former Burton firefighter caught in GHOST sting sentenced to jail time Updated Apr 28, 2021; Facebook Share GENESEE COUNTY, MI A man who has served as a firefighter and police officer in multiple Genesee County departments has been sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to child sexually abusive activity. Matthew J. Hyde, 40, of Burton was sentenced April 26 by Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth A. Kelly to 180 days in jail, with credit for four days served, and 60 months of probation. Hyde pleaded guilty in March to one count of child sexually abusive activity after he was caught in a Genesee County Sheriff’s Department GHOST sex-trafficking sting in 2020. ....
