There are 95 active fires in the northwest region with thirty-two considered not under control. 10 fires were called out today and the fire hazard is predominantly extreme across the region. Due to the extreme fire activity, the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry has issued implementation orders for the Red Lake and Kenora Districts that restricts access and use of certain roads and crown lands.
