The Government has encouraged people to exercise throughout the series of lockdowns in order to fight the virus and to remain healthy both in body and mind. The example set by Captain Sir Tom Moore and his original challenge to walk around his garden to raise £1,000 for the NHS before his 100th birthday ultimately raised £33 million and his inspirational words “tomorrow will be a good day” encouraged others to walk for charity or just for their own well-being.

In March 2020 as the country entered the first lockdown, the villages of White Ladies Aston, Broughton Hackett, Spetchley and Churchill had just been collectively awarded the title “Wychavon’s Village of Culture”.
PERSONAL and professional pride is going into the reopening of businesses on Monday – and a fair bit of DIY work too. Prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed the next stage of lockdown lifting in England will go ahead as planned on April 12. Non-essential shops, hairdressers and gyms can reopen, and pubs and restaurants can start serving customers outdoors. Connect2Vapes, a vaping shop in Broad Street, Worcester, have been preparing by giving the front of the premises a facelift ahead of launching a new range of stock to mark the comeback. “We are painting the outside of the shop, giving it a spruce up before we reopen. We’re all really excited about it,” said proprietor Andrew Connellan.
