During the past year the one constant factor has been walking. The Government has encouraged people to exercise throughout the series of lockdowns in order to fight the virus and to remain healthy both in body and mind.
The example set by Captain Sir Tom Moore and his original challenge to walk around his garden to raise £1,000 for the NHS before his 100th birthday ultimately raised £33 million and his inspirational words “tomorrow will be a good day” encouraged others to walk for charity or just for their own well-being.
