The Lee Road branch of the Heights Libraries at 2345 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. Ohio libraries, including the Heights Library system, consistently rank at or near the top of national rankings, benefiting all Ohioans. Which is why Ohio lawmakers should not pare back state support for libraries in the upcoming two-year budget, writes Thomas Suddes in his column today.

Dogs really are a man’s best friend and they are often known to share the pain of their human parents. One such example is of a Chihuahua-rat terrier cross who died hours after the sheriff she served with lost his life.
Dan McClelland, a 67-year-old sheriff from Geauga County, Ohio, died from cancer in a hospital.
Midge, the 16-year-old crime-fighting pet, stopped breathing hours after she saw her owner lose his battle to cancer.

Contact-free pick-up at the Geauga County Public Library

Due to rising number of COVID-19 cases

CHARDON, Ohio The Geauga County Public Library system will begin contact-free pick up beginning December 15, 2020 due to the rising number of local COVID-19 cases and in accordance with the Stay Safe Ohio Protocol.
In addition to contact-free pick-up, limited one-hour computer session must be made by appointment and will be the only in-person services offered in the Geauga library system.
Book drops will remain open and returned materials will continue to be quarantined for 96 hours.
Administrators at the Geauga Library system will continue to monitor the situation taking cues from local and state officials. ....
