Police charge man over theft of livestock trailers – Monaro
A man has been charged over the alleged theft of two livestock trailers in the Monaro Police District.
Yesterday (Monday 26 July 2021), officers from Monaro Police District received a report after two livestock trailers were stolen from a premise on Saleyards Road, Cooma, sometime between 1.30pm Sunday (25 July 2021) and 8.30am that day.
Following inquiries, officers attached to Monaro Rural Crime Prevention Team located the trailers attached to a prime mover stopped on the Monaro Highway, Michelago, about 9.30am.
About 12.20pm, Police forced entry to the cabin and the driver, a 29-year-old man, fled. He was pursued on foot through several paddocks before running into a nearby dam. ....

Covid breach: Jindabyne cafe ordered to close


FROM today (July 9), the Market shop and cafe in Jindabyne has been ordered to close for a week after repeatedly breaching covid safety measures. 
NSW police visited The Market four times between June 29 and July 2 and identified breaches, including: staff and patrons not wearing face coverings; no signage relating to wearing face coverings or patron capacity; no QR code check-in outside or within the premises; and failure to produce a COVID-19 sign in register.
The cafe owners, a 32-year-old woman and 33-year-old man, were arrested and charged on June 30 with not wearing fitted face coverings in a retail business.
They were granted conditional bail, however, when officers revisited the cafe a few days later, they found no face coverings being worn by members of the public, no QR code and no sign-in sheet. ....

The Market shop and café in Jindabyne has been ordered to close for a week from today for serial COVID safety breaches across repeat visits from police.
NSW Police visited The Market a total of four times between 29 June and Friday 2 July, identifying breaches of:
staff and patrons not wearing face coverings,
no signage relating to wearing face coverings or patron capacity,
no QR code check-in outside or within the premises, and
failure to produce a COVID-19 sign in register.
