Alliance Police database for April 2 The Alliance Review ARIEL LYNN WAGNER, 28, of 3513 Azalea Ave., Apt. 33, in Canton, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. March 29, 2021, in the 200 block of East State Street in Alliance. Police say Wagner was arrested after a report from Aultman Alliance Community Hospital of an assault. The report says Aultman staff indicated Wagner had spit in the face of a member of the nursing staff. The staff further reported to police that Wagner had stated that she later would return to the hospital to blow it up. Wagner was served with a medical release form at the hospital and advised she was being charged with assault, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. She was advised of a court date on April 5 in Alliance Municipal Court. ....
Alliance Police database for March 5 The Alliance Review ANTHONY GEROM CULBERTSON JR., 37, of 141 S. Liberty Ave., Apt. 1, in Alliance, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Feb. 23, 2021. Police say Culbertson was arrested following a welfare check/drug investigation. Police reported that the defendant, who is on parole, admitted narcotics were in the apartment. Police reported the defendant turned over narcotics and drug paraphernalia to an officer. The report lists the items as methamphetamine; a loaded syringe with liquid meth; dozens of new syringes; multiple meth pipes, including a loaded pipe; baggies of marijuana; and multiple items of marijuana paraphernalia. The report says that due to Culbertson’s current health issues, including mobility issues, he was issued a recognizance bond, and faces charges of possession of drugs-meth, a fifth-degree felony; possession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemea ....
ALLIANCE Police said they seized illegal drugs they believe were being sold as they found three people hiding in an Alliance home Sunday night, according to Stark County Jail record. Investigators said they searched for a half hour before they found the three suspects: a wanted man accused of raping two women in October, another man they say has been selling methamphetamine and marijuana and the woman who has a protection order against him. John W. Powell, 30, of South Arch Street, has been wanted since December on two rape warrants, according to Stark County Jail and court records. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 27-year-old woman and another woman on Oct. 7 in a house on Meadowbrook Lane. One of the women was substantially impaired and sleeping, and the other woman was substantially impaired because of drug use, at the time, according to the court records. The warrants were issued Dec. 15. ....
Alliance High School gun case bound over to Stark County grand jury The Repository The Alliance High School student accused of bringing a handgun onto school property has been bound over to the Stark County grand jury. Hogan E. Wade, 18, appeared Friday on video before Alliance Municipal Court Judge Andrew Zumbar, along with his attorney, Frederick Pitinii, and waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Alliance Police arrested Wade on Jan. 20 on charges of inducing panic, a second-degree felony; illegal conveyance or possession of a deadly weapon, a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Wade is accused of bringing a .22-caliber handgun into Alliance High School. School officials were alerted about the weapon after Wade posted a video of himself brandishing it on his Instagram page, according to Stark County Jail records. ....
Alliance Police database for Jan. 27 The Alliance Review BRIAN ALEXANDER CHERNIKOVICH, 28, 820 Milner St. in Alliance, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 21, 2021, on Milner Street. Police located Chernikovich while he was operating a vehicle on Milner. Police say the defendant was wanted on warrants out of Alliance Municipal Court. He also has four open suspensions of his operator’s license. Warrants were served for obstructing official business, a second-degree felony; complicity to theft and complicity to breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies; and the defendant also was charged with driving under suspension. Chernikovich was released on a recognizance bond, per Alliance Municipal Court’s COVID-19 protocol. ....
