Scripture: Isaiah 54:1-6
The scripture for this message is found in the book of Isaiah. Let me share a little background about the prophet Isaiah, who was also called the prophet of redemption.  He spoke to the children of Israel about God’s hatred of sin and idolatry and called them to repentance. He also prophesied about their redemption.  In the New Testament, he is referred to by name 21 times and alluded to many times. Jesus began His ministry by reading from Isaiah 61. God’s promise to redeem Israel can be found in Isaiah chapters 49-57. ....

For Nympha Pugh, learning English was part of growing up in the Philippines.
It was one of many subjects in her primary education lineup, a norm for Filipinos studying the world’s most spoken language. After earning a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, Pugh went on to teach English for two years in China before meeting her now husband, Torrey, an Alabamian with ties to Auburn University, and moving to the United States in 2012. ....

Chicago resident Nancie Carolyn Walker loved to dance. She was the captain of her high school cheerleading team, studied accounting at Columbia College and later opened up a yoga and jazzercise studio and bought five residential buildings. The 55-year-old entrepreneur disappeared on Jan. 28, 2003, and seven weeks later her dismembered remains were discovered in three contractor bags on the Bishop Ford Highway. She had been strangled. 
Seven months earlier, on June 12, 2002, the strangled body of Gwendolyn Williams was found behind a Dollar Store in Chicago. Williams mother died before she ever found out what happened to her 44-year-old daughter.  ....
