Nearly one-third of Ware families want want remote-only learning for their children Updated Dec 18, 2020; WARE – In a report submitted to the Selectboard, school officials say 46 families representing 32% of enrolled students are opting to stay with remote-only learning. Public schools here use a hybrid model, of two cohorts, each attending classes on campus two days each week, and three days of remote-only for pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Ware Superintendent of Schools Marlene DiLeo said the district had forwarded a questionnaire to those opting for remote, to ascertain if they may wish to attend class in-person, when the third quarter begins Jan. 28. She noted that 51 students that had opted for fully remote when school year began in August now participate in the hybrid system. ....
