WARE – In a report submitted to the Selectboard, school officials say 46 families representing 32% of enrolled students are opting to stay with remote-only learning.
Public schools here use a hybrid model, of two cohorts, each attending classes on campus two days each week, and three days of remote-only for pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
Ware Superintendent of Schools Marlene DiLeo said the district had forwarded a questionnaire to those opting for remote, to ascertain if they may wish to attend class in-person, when the third quarter begins Jan. 28.
She noted that 51 students that had opted for fully remote when school year began in August now participate in the hybrid system.
