Portal expected to reach large lychee consumers An online portal has been launched to help farmers in pandemic-hit Bac Giang province sell their lychees. “Thank God, it’s so effective,” vice director of Bac Giang Enterprise Consulting and Assistance Centre (BECA) Duong Thanh Son said about the portal launched by the centre. Bac Giang has been hit hardest by COVID-19 during its fourth wave in Vietnam, causing difficulties for local farmers. The portal www.hotrotieuthuvaithieubacgiang.com was launched about three weeks ago and a Facebook page hotrotieuthuvaithieubacgiang was created just a few days later when Bac Giang started entering the lychee harvest season. ....

Liquidity on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) also posted a new record of nearly 26.14 trillion VND (1.13 billion USD). The southern bourse saw 222 codes rising, 187 codes declining, and 49 remaining unchanged. The HNX-Index on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, meanwhile, rose 3.58 points to 322.05 points, also a new high. Liquidity stood at more than 4.41 trillion VND. It had 112 codes increasing, 79 declining, and 80 staying flat. ....

The Health Ministry has said individuals who have completed the mandated 14-day quarantine and tested negative twice after entering Vietnam will not be released immediately. This rule will apply starting Tuesday, the ministry said, but did not specify the duration of extension at centralized quarantine facilities. Dang Quang Tan, head of the ministry s General Department of Preventive Medicine, said the ministry s latest decision was made after several individuals contracted the novel coronavirus after they d already completed the 14-day quarantine and tested negative twice. ....
