Integrated Renewables Hydrogen Factory In Chile Might Be Bought By Consortium

In the South American state of Chile, a consortium of oil companies and leading utilities are considering the purchase of a proposed integrated renewables hydrogen factory. Other potential investors come from abroad, namely AustriaEnergy and Ökowind EE, who are encouraged by the interest shown by potential domestic off-takers including oil companies and utilities.
The proposed installation could have between 1.8 GW and 2 GW of onshore wind plus a 1.4 GW capacity electrolyser. It will employ the Haber-Bosch process to produce millions of tonnes of hydrogen and ammonia by 2026 when it will be fully operational. ....

Doubled US Climate Commitments Shows Vital Role For Natural Gas | Pipeline Technology Journal

Leading energy stakeholders endorsed President Biden’s climate-change commitments on Thursday 22nd of April.
However, they also stressed the continuing importance of natural gas. For instance, the CEO of the country’s Interstate Natural Gas Association of America Amy Andryszak, said, “members are fully committed to being part of the climate solution and working as an industry toward reaching net-zero emissions from natural gas pipeline transmission and storage operations by no later than 2050.”
During the virtual Leaders’ Summit on Climate, President Biden announced, “the United States would cut its economy wide greenhouse gas emissions by between 50 and 52 percent by the year 2030 versus 2005 levels. This doubles commitment to reduce emissions by between 26 and 28 percent by 2030, made under the 2015 Paris Accords. ....

Northern Macedonia And Greece To Sign A Treaty To Interconnect Gas Pipelines

Northern Macedonian’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev is expected to visit Athens in early May to sign a treaty promoting a pipeline gas interconnection project linking the two Balkan country’s gas networks.
This new 50 km North Macedonia-Greece gas interconnector natural gas pipeline interconnection is to be built by the Greek natural gas pipeline operator DESFA. The pipeline interconnector will link the Greek transmission pipeline network at a valve station near the northern port city of Thessalonica with the Macedonian border at Evzoni (Gevgelija). Here it will connect with the newly completed trans-Adriatic pipeline which carries gas from central Asia via Turkey, Greece and Albania to southern Italy. The Macedonian section of the pipeline interconnection is already complete. ....

Pipelines And Storage Tanks Are Added To Saudi Arabia's Capacity | Pipeline Technology Journal

A consortium comprising Dubai’s ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company) Group and Rotary Arabia have completed construction of four new pipelines from the Red Sea port’s Farabi Petrochemicals’ Yanbu facility to the nearby independent storage facility operated by Arab Tank Terminal Ltd. (ATTL). The ATTL facility has a petrochemical storage capacity of around 288,000 m³, spread over 28 tanks.
Currently, around 70% of the Yanbu facility production output consists of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) and normal paraffins (NPN) with the remainder being assorted derivative products.
At present, the Farabi Petrochemicals’ Yanbu facility supplies not only Saudi Arabia’s domestic market, but through the port of Yanbu, it is able to export its output to customers throughout the Middle East and further afield to Europe and Asia. ....
