Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 3 (ANI): Kullu district police evacuated a total of 82 stranded tourist vehicles, stranded due to heavy snowfall, from the south portal area of Atal tunnel near Dhundhi in Kullu district on Sunday.
Yesterday night, the team had rescued over 300 tourists from the region.
Raman Gharsangi, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Manali had in a statement on Saturday said that efforts are being made to restore vehicular traffic and rescue stranded people. ....

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 3 (ANI): The rescue operation of more than 500 tourists, who have been stranded at the road between South Portal of Atal Tunnel and Solang Nalla in Manali of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh following heavy rainfall is underway.
Raman Gharsangi, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Manali in a statement said that efforts are being made to restore vehicular traffic and rescue stranded people.
Rescue teams reached Dhundi around 8 pm. Over twenty 4X4 rescue vehicles with rescue teams sent with orders to provide facilities for stranded people. Taxis and one 48 seater bus also moved to Kulang so that evacuated persons could be shifted. Rescue is still underway, Gharsangi said ....

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) [India], December 28 (ANI): A total of 15 people in two vehicles were arrested on Sunday for causing obstruction in traffic inside Atal Tunnel Rohtang (ATR) and violating Covid-19 norms. Eight of them have also been fined Rs 40,000 by the Himachal Pradesh police.
A total of 15 persons in 2 vehicles have been arrested today for causing obstruction in traffic in the tunnel and for Covid violations and 8 of them have also been fined Rs 40,000 under HP Police Act inside Atal Rohtang tunnel, said Gaurav Singh, Superintendent of Police, Kullu District. ....

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) [India], December 20 (ANI): Two men from Mumbai have been arrested and 1.86 kg charas has allegedly been recovered from them, the Kullu Police said on Sunday.
As per the police, a case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The Kullu Police has recovered 1.81 kg of charas from the possession of two men in Bhuntar. They are residents of Mumbai. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, said Gaurav Singh, Superintendent of Police Kullu. (ANI) ....
