Nalcor Energy paid nearly $1 million last year for the services of a single member of the project delivery team at Muskrat Falls, surpassing the annual earnings of CEO Stan Marshall, CBC News has learned.
An access-to-information request for the earnings of the 21 most senior members of the team has revealed that Edmonton-based professional services company Stantec Inc. was paid just under $865,000 in 2020 for the services of one of its employees, Donald Phillips. ....

Seven senior contractors working on the Muskrat Falls hydro and transmission project including longtime project leader Paul Harrington are fighting a request to Nalcor Energy to have their 2019 compensation information made public.
That s despite the fact Nalcor believes the information should be released. As well, legislative changes made nearly three years ago lifted the veil of secrecy over compensation to embedded contractors, and previous court rulings have also come down on the side of full disclosure. ....
