Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield could not speak highly enough of Carlton gun Sam Walsh.
The third-year Blue is already regarded as one of the premier midfielders in the competition on the back of a career-best 2021 season.
Walsh, who won the Rising Star award after a sensational debut year in 2019, is averaging 25 disposals and 3.6 clearances across his blossoming 55-game career.
After seeing Walsh first-hand on Saturday, Dangerfield described the Geelong Falcons product as a âspecial, special playerâ who is destined for great things.
âHeâs the complete package,â the Brownlow Medallist told
SENâs Whateley.
âThe difference maker for someone like Sam I think is he has a rare combination of great endurance, but also really good speed.

Peter Sumich believes Fremantle may have to deal with an exodus of sorts in the next few years.
The West Coast champion and former Dockers assistant coach is expecting star young midfielder Adam Cerra, who is out of contract at the end of this season, to leave the club.
Sumich says Cerra is âbound to go homeâ to Victoria if he believes he cannot achieve success with Freo.
âI reckon Adam Cerra is going to go home,â Sumich said on
SportFM.
âHe hasnât signed yet, heâs a Victorian, heâs looking at Fremantle going, âAre they the team thatâs going to play finals or win a premiership?â Right now, heâs probably going, âNot reallyâ.
