A YARMOUTH man caught with cocaine in his system while driving out of a farm in Porchfield has been sentenced. Billy Christopher Cokes, 28, of Bouldnor Mead, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court last Tuesday (February 9). He admitted driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of cocaine, and also benzoylecgonine a derivative of cocaine. Ann Smout, prosecuting, told the court police were called to a farm off Coleman s Lane at around 4pm in the afternoon on August 12 of last year. She said when police arrived, they saw a grey BMW speeding out of the farm. When the car was stopped, the driver, Cokes, was detained for a suspected offence and also arrested for failing a drugs swipe. ....
